Mississippi-born, Memphis-bred, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Cory Branan swung by the Fretboard Journal offices with his sunburst, Adi-topped Bourgeois dreadnought (and his acoustic pedalboard setup, which wasn’t used but features a real-deal Klon Centaur). Cory–a fiery guitarist and a gritty singer–was just kicking off a West Coast tour in support of his latest release, Adios; he treated us to a couple of tunes, including this twisted toe-tapper, “You Got Through,” a thick, mid-tempo electric number laden with B3 organ and Strat tones on the record, rendered here as a balls-to-the-wall acoustic stomp.
