For this Great Martins session, we visit with Seattle guitar collector and instrument historian Mark Demaray to see a 1944 Martin D-28. When one thinks of a “bluegrass cannon,” a D-28 from this era is the first instrument that comes to mind. Demaray shows us why and explains the particularities of this guitar, including its scalloped bracing and steel T-bar neck.
