Jay Boone of Seattle’s Emerald City Guitars shows off a truly rare Martin that the store acquired in 2015, a 1939 Martin 000-42.
This Martin guitar is the same model / year that Eric Clapton used during his legendary Unplugged session. Martin made only 113 000-42 guitars in the ‘30s and ‘40s (and reportedly only 31 in 1939) before discontinuing the series in 1942. In 1986, they of course brought the guitar back into production.
Great Martins is presented with help from our friends at Maury’s Music.
