Gill Landry – “The Woman You Are”

Singer-songwriter Gill Landry stops by the Fretboard Journal to perform “The Woman You Are” from his 2017 album, Love Rides A Dark Horse.

Landry’s career has had many facets: Living in the Pacific Northwest, he was turned onto old-time music via local legend Baby Gramps. Landry would then form the Kitchen Syncopators and busk around Washington, Oregon, New Orleans and Europe. After that group disbanded, he was a member of Old Crow Medicine Show. Landry is now focusing on his solo career and has recently moved from Nashville to Los Angeles.

On this tune, Landry is playing his 1961 Gibson ES-125, a guitar he purchased from Gruhn’s.
