Guitarist Bob Minner performs his original tune “Liam’s Lullaby” on a 2018 Collings C-100 at the Fretboard Journal. The C-100 is a unique, hybrid-style guitar: The lower bout has the width of a dreadnought while the upper bout is more like a 000. It was briefly part of the Collings lineup in the early ’90s; in 2018 the company announced that they would begin making them again.
This particular sunburst C-100 has a Sitka spruce top and Honduran mahogany back, sides and neck.
You can learn more about the history of the C-100 via our podcast interview with Collings’ very first employee, Bruce VanWart.
