The Fretboard Journal is proud to premiere the first video from Jagtime Millionaire, the latest project of Pittsburgh-based guitarist and luthier Raymond Morin. As Jagtime Millionaire, Morin gets to show off his love for ragtime guitar, playing classic and novelty rags, instrumentals and original songs.
Morin is the mastermind behind the Pleinview Guitar Co. and the creative force behind the excellent Work & Worry blog. On this video, he’s playing Scott Joplin’s “The Silver Swan” on a guitar built by luthier Kevin Kopp. (The guitar – Kopp’s K35 Prototype #3 – is based on a late ‘30s Gibson J-35.) He promises to showcase other Kopp-built guitars in future videos.
Jagtime Millionaire will be going on tour later this month and in June 2018. Here are the tour dates:
5/31 @ Random Tea Room (Philly, PA)
6/1 @ Hillman Memorial Library (Hadley, MA)
