Harry Tuft of the Denver Folklore Center

The Fretboard Journal pays a visit to the Denver Folklore Center, where owner Harry Tuft has held court for musicians since 1962. Tuft tells the story of his shop, its famous Monday night jams and what it’s like to possess a Guild guitar formerly owned by Mississippi John Hurt.

This is an exclusive Fretboard Journal video, filmed and directed by Alex Witkowicz. Look for a feature story on Tuft and the Denver Folklore Center in our Fall 2010 issue.
