#FJFest: Preservation Guitar Company

Here’s one for #FJFest’s virtual guitar show — Aviva Steigmeyer of the Preservation Guitar Company shared some photos of her shop and a few gorgeous finished guitars. Aviva apprenticed with Todd Cambio of Fraulini Guitars and it’s easy to see their shared appreciation of the guitars from American lutherie’s nascence in the early 20th century. As she told us in her bio, since 2013 she has been building her own instruments in “a small, one-woman shop located in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Her focus is on small-bodied guitars built with American hardwoods using hot hide glue, mostly hand-tools, and a hand-rubbed French polish finish.”

Check out Aviva’s website for information about ordering (she builds about a dozen instruments each year) and to check out some videos of her guitars in action.
