Twelve Days of Fretboard: Jeff Fielder
In a town full of great guitarists, Seattle’s Jeff Fielder stands out for not only being a stellar player, but also for being so darn prolific. He’s played with some of the city’s most critically acclaimed artists, including Lindsay Fuller, Sera Cahoone and even Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard.
We knew that Fielder was a great player and songwriter and that’s why we invited him on this installment of the Twelve Days of Fretboard. But perhaps we underestimated his soulful side, as shown here on the tune “Fortune.” Accompanied by upright bassist Keith Lowe, Fielder knocked us out with his singing and playing. Fielder is playing his beloved 2004 Martin D-28, but we also get a great story about his favorite electric, a Gibson Les Paul he’s had since he was a kid.
You can order Fielder’s solo album on iTunes here.
