Jack Lawrence - "Red Rocking Chair" on a 1953 Martin D-28
While working with musician Jack Lawrence for a forthcoming story on Merrill Guitars, we caught a peek of his 1953 Martin D-28. We couldn't resist asking him to play a tune for us on it.
Here, he performs "Red Rocking Chair," a tune made popular by Doc Watson (who Lawrence has partnered with since the 1980s).
This guitar is a typical straight-braced model from the 1950s and it sounds amazing, especially in Lawrence's capable hands.
