Copenhagen-based guitarist Mikkel Ploug performs “Afterthought,” from his forthcoming solo acoustic album, Day in the Sun (Songlines).

Ploug recorded this video during the actual recording of the album. On it, he’s playing his 1944 Gibson “Banner” LG-2 guitar. Other tracks on the record feature a hybrid classical-flamenco guitar built by Spanish luthier Manuel Bellido.

Ploug recorded the song on vintage Neumann U47 and m269 mics running through Neve preamps.
