Jason Mozersky and his 1966 Esquire Custom

This week’s Telecaster Tuesday comes from Jason Mozersky. Jason is a guitarist and contributing songwriter in Ben Harper’s Relentless7. He is, simply, all about tone. He let us into the Relentless7 locker a while back to show us some his favorite guitars. This Esquire stood out as something very special. Here is what Jason had to say about it:

“I have owned this 1966 Esquire custom for about 15 years. I bought it from Austin Vintage Guitars and it will only be available at my estate sale.  I love this guitar dearly even though it is by no means all original. There is a route for a humbucker under the guard, it’s refretted and the pickup is a very old Seymour Duncan Broadcaster-style replacement. I always look for guitars that have a real low-mid focus and Teles that have more of a fat sound. This particular guitar actually has a lot of Gibson qualities. I have often played entire sets with it!”
