During a recent tour visit, Chuck Prophet stopped by The Fretboard Journal offices to perform “Wish Me Luck,” a song from Prophet’s 2014 album, Night Surfer. Unlike the electrified version found on that record, Prophet and guitarist James Deprato stripped the song down to its bare elements: Prophet plays his shadetop Martin D-28 while Deprato performs on a vintage Gibson L-00.

Prophet says this is one of the first songs he penned for the new record and that it “defines the record for me.”
