The Inaugural Fretboard Feast, September 24, 2011

Join the Fretboard Journal and Krusa Guitars at our first ever Fretboard Feast on Saturday, September 24th 2011 at Turnbull Creek Farm in Bon Aqua, Tennessee (just west of Nashville).

What's a Fretboard Feast? Well, it's a special evening featuring great guitars, music and food… created by the FJ staff just for our readers and special guests.

It all happens at 5pm on September 24, 2011.

Upon arriving, attendees will be treated to an open shop / question and answer session with luthier Kip Krusa (whose shop, conveniently enough, is located on the farm). Watch him at work, ask him questions about tone woods, custom guitars, repairs or anything else.

Or just stroll around the farm's grounds and see what's in season and chat with staff behind the FJ.

Dinner will start around 6pm. It'll be a feast of locally grown organic produce and locally sourced meats. Wine and non-alcoholic beverages are provided with each $100 admission.

As the evening winds down, you'll be treated to an intimate concert featuring acclaimed guitarist Russ Barenberg along with some special guests. Afterwards, there will be a bonfire and picking party, so feel free to bring an instrument and join in on the fun!

Directions will be emailed to all attendees upon registering. A complementary one year Fretboard Journal subscription (or extension to your existing subscription) will be included with each $100 ticket price, a $40 value. A portion of all proceeds will go to the W.O. Smith Music School, providing affordable music instruction to low income families in the Nashville area.

We hope you'll join us for this special farm-to-table meal with fellow guitar enthusiasts. Space is extremely limited for this unique event. And, yes, we'll have a tent on-hand just in case Mother Nature throws us a curveball. Rain or shine. For questions or lodging help, just drop us a line or call our toll-free number 877-373-8273.
